ABOUT US
Marine Trust Agency is led by Captain Adel Hassan Ibrahim — a commercial ship master and former EGPC Marine Operations Manager whose career spans every major vessel type and Egypt's most demanding offshore petroleum terminals.
Years Maritime Career
Years EGPC Terminal Command
Marine Trust is led and owned by Captain Adel Hassan Ibrahim, a master mariner whose career in commercial maritime command spans more than 29 years. His sea-going experience progressed through command of every major commercial vessel type — general cargo ships, bulk carriers, Ro-Ro vessels, and crude oil tankers — giving him direct operational command of the full range of merchant vessels that call at Egyptian ports today.
This breadth of command experience is rare in Egypt’s port agency sector. Most agency principals come from a purely commercial or administrative background; Captain Adel’s authority comes from years on the bridge, commanding vessels through the same ports, terminals, and pilotage waters that Marine Trust now serves as agent.
Beyond sea-going command, Captain Adel built over 16 years of specialised experience at Egypt’s offshore petroleum terminals under the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), serving as Marine Operations Manager and Head of Pilots across two of Egypt’s most demanding crude oil terminals.
Offshore terminal operated by Belayim Petroleum Company (Petrobel), located in the Gulf of Suez.
At both terminals, Captain Adel held direct operational authority over marine pilotage, vessel berthing, and offshore terminal safety — the most technically demanding category of port operations in Egypt’s petroleum sector. This is operational command experience, not agency-side coordination: the distinction that gives Marine Trust its credibility with international oil majors and tanker operators today.
Established International Partnership
This depth of EGPC terminal experience earned Marine Trust the trust of one of EGPC’s largest international partners and investors — one of EGPC’s largest international investment partners — an established U.S.-based global energy company with significant upstream operations in Egypt. For more than 6 years, Marine Trust has handled the full marine agency requirements for this partner’s crude oil shipments, working in direct coordination with a major Greek tanker operator to move Egyptian crude to international markets.
Marine Trust Shipping Agencies & Maritime Affairs Co. S.A.E. is built directly on this operational foundation. The company is ISO 9001 certified and led by a team selected for technical competence and service quality across Egypt’s full port network — from routine general cargo calls at Alexandria to specialised crude tanker operations at offshore petroleum terminals.
Where many port agencies in Egypt offer coordination and paperwork, Marine Trust offers something different: a Chairman who has personally commanded the vessels, piloted the tankers, and managed the terminals that ship owners and operators now entrust to the company’s care.
Work with a port agent who has commanded the vessels and managed the terminals.
A career that progressed from sea-going command through specialised offshore terminal leadership to founding Marine Trust Agency.
Captain Adel’s commercial maritime career began with command positions aboard general cargo vessels and dry bulk carriers, building foundational expertise in cargo operations, vessel handling, and port procedures.
Command experience expanded to Ro-Ro vessels and crude oil tankers — the most demanding categories of commercial vessel command, requiring specialised handling, safety protocols, and cargo-specific expertise.
Appointed to lead marine operations and pilotage at Al Hamra Terminal (WEPCO) and later Wadi Feiran Terminal (Petrobel) — two of Egypt’s principal offshore petroleum terminals under the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation.
EGPC terminal expertise earned Marine Trust the trust of one of EGPC’s largest international investment partners — beginning a 6+ year relationship handling crude oil shipment agency via a major Greek tanker operator.
Today, Marine Trust operates as an ISO 9001 certified port agency across all major Egyptian ports — Alexandria, Suez Canal Zone, and Red Sea — built on 29+ years of direct operational maritime command.
The difference between Marine Trust and a typical port agency comes down to one thing: operational command experience at the highest level of Egypt's maritime sector.
Direct command experience across general cargo, bulk carriers, Ro-Ro vessels, and crude oil tankers — not desk-based agency coordination.
